However,THRrecently spoke with the actor who revealed that he is recovering famously and is eager to get back to work very soon. In addition, Douglas confirms that he will indeed make his return to the big screen by taking the lead role in Soderbergh's Liberace project which will shoot in May or June.Read on!
Douglas is already preparing for the role as he says,"I've got a bunch of tapes of performances. I'm thinking; I'm a blank slate. He's well aware of his brush with death, and while he still has his ups and downs from his treatments, he seems to all smiles for now. Douglas remarks,"I’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support. Cancer has shown me what family is.
