Bradley Cooper Denies Rumors About Being a 'Flash' Candidate« FirstShowing.net

Bradley Cooper / The Flash

Earlier in the week, itwas rumoredthatBradley Cooper(The Hangover, A-Team) was in the running to star asThe Flashin the upcoming DC Comics adaptation. We know that aFlashmovie is in the works, DC's Geoff Johns has talked about it, but they haven't started any casting yet. Cooper spoke toSuperHeroHyperecently,"I'veneverheard anything about it ever,"he said, laughing it all off. However, the original report says that Cooper is the"current favorite,"which means maybe Warner Bros has yet to offer him the role, but will be in the next few weeks. There's still the potential for just about anything, but don't get too excited yet.

There's been a lot of talk about the script forThe Flashmovie recently, which is due by the end of this year, with screenwriter Greg Berlantisaying things likehow it deals"with somebody who is already a crimefighter in a world of those kinds of criminals and that kind of murder and homicide {same as inGreen LanternandThe Dark Knight}."It sounds like a very solid version ofThe Flashis going to make its way to the big screen eventually, but we'll have to wait a while longer to find out who exactly will be playing Barry Allen. Everyone originally wanted Ryan Reynolds, but he's got too many comic book characters, so Cooper was another good suggestion. If not him, who else might be the very best choice to play theScarlet Speedster?Any ideas?
