Returning Cast Revealed for 'How to Train Your Dragon' Sequel« FirstShowing.net

In a move likely meant to generate more buzz and awareness for this week'sBlu-Ray/DVD releaseof DreamWorks Animation's best recent film,How to Train Your Dragon, some returning cast members for thepreviously announcedsequel have just been revealed via press release. Reprising their roles from the first film areJay Baruchel,Craig Ferguson,America Ferrera,Jonah Hill,Christopher Mintz-Plasse,T.J. MillerandKristen Wiig. In addition,Dean DeBloiswill return as writer and director with Bonnie Arnold producing, and his co-director Chris Sanders executive producing, though he's not helping to direct the sequel.

It's not clear what storyline will the sequel will follow (or if there's still a chance for Gerard Butler to return with everyone else), but with awhole series of booksfrom Cressida Cowell as inspiration, there's plenty of ideas. A couple titles includeHow to Be a PirateandHow to Cheat a Dragon's Cursewith six more books in the series that could be adapted for the big screen. All we know right now is is the sequel will bring Hiccup and his faithful dragon Toothless along with much of their Viking tribe back to theaters, once again in3D, for release sometime in2013.

It'll be hard to top the original film which is one of the few truly impressive endeavors from DreamWorks Animation, but it sounds like everyone onboard is quite excited.DeBlois says,"Ambitions are high with this epic next chapter, and together with an incredible team of filmmakers, we plan to build uponHow to Train Your Dragon'soriginality, boldness and heart, in hopes of once again touching audiences around the world."Excited?
